So Katie has been snotty lately, it seemed no matter how much I suctioned her nose she was still snotty. Turns out I was doing it wrong. I found a great video that helped, a link is posted below. Happy aspirating!

Things We Love
So we have discovered that there are a handful of things we just don't want to do without. You don't have to have them, but it sure is nice if you do!
This bath seat folds flat when you aren't using it and is so easy to use. Just drop in the tub and wash up! Also Johnson's Bedtime bath smells great and helps Katie to relax.
Bottle Warmer, drop in the bottle, push the button, and in a minute the formula is ready to go.
Dr. Brown's Bottles really help with the gas.
Speaking of gas...these drops are a life saver! Katie loves the way it tastes and within minutes she is burping (and tooting too!).
Love the sleep Sheep!!! I take the sound part out and put it in her car seat. Totally relaxes her!
Microwave sterilizer is fabulous since we don't have a dishwasher.
Cradle Swing is her favorite place to nap after her bath.
Wipe warmer makes Katie so happy. She really dislikes cold wipes...a lot!
Also cannot live without our extra large swaddle blankets a friend made for us. They are great, Katie can't wiggle out of them, and are easy to use. What are your 'must have' baby items??

So What Happened Was...
Mommy and I met Gigi at Babies R Us to return a few duplicate items. While Mommy was at the customer service desk Gigi got us into soooo much adorable trouble! See, she got tricked into having my photos taken by the nice photographer lady. Yes, Gigi knew I had already had my pictures taken twice since I was born. Yes, she knew I already have a session booked with a professional for my 2 month pictures. Nope, she couldn't resist. So here they are...$$$$ worth of precious!

She's Here!
Katie Mae is here! She was born August 3, 2011. 4 pounds 13 ounces, 17 3/4 inches perfect!! She was delivered via c-section 4 weeks early due to complications regarding the birthmother.
My husband and I were blessed to be in the operating room and witness the birth of our daughter. It was an amazing experience. After the nurses and doctors checked her over she was wrapped up and handed to me. What an amazing moment!
The staff at the hospital took great care of us. We were given our own private room away from the birth mom so we could bond with our daughter. Despite her low birth weight, Katie was healthy and thriving and we were able to take her home after just 2 days following the Termination of parental rights being signed by Katie's birth mom.
Walking out of the hospital was surreal. I kept waiting for somebody to stop me. I was thinking, "They are really going to let me just leave with her?" She was so small in her car seat.
It took a little longer to get home because of a massive traffic accident involving an overturned 18 wheeler carrying lumber. But we finally made it, safe and happy! The dogs were so excited to see me and were instantly in love with Katie. Anna our female dog jumped in the bassinet to give her kisses...the bassinet position in the room was immediately moved and now Anna only gets kisses on her toes! LOL, but it was a priceless moment. Gordy our male dog hates it when Katie cries and makes sure to alert me whenever something is upsetting Katie. He is her own personal watch dog.
We are all having a great time learning how to live with Katie. She is an absolute princess and we are so happy to have her home!
